Dr. Ross Porter

Dr. Ross Porter, licensed Clinical Psychologist, is the founder and Executive Director of Stillpoint Resources. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and his Ph.D. (Clinical Psychology) and M.Div. (Master of Divinity) degrees from Fuller Theological Seminary, where he first became interested in the integration of psychology and spirituality.

His background includes work at LAC/USC Psychiatric Hospital and the VA Medical Center, Sepulveda. He has taught at the high school, college, and graduate school levels, and has extensive experience working with individuals, couples, families, and groups.

In addition, Dr. Porter writes and presents workshops and seminars on issues dealing with psychology and spirituality. He has created the The Virtue Project, a unique and practical vision of healing and hope that integrates psychological truth with theological, and philosophical wisdom. Jennifer Porter, B.A.

Jennifer is the Director of Development for Stillpoint Family Resources, as well as a member of our Speakers Bureau. She earned her undergraduate degree in English from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and her Teaching Credential from the University of California, Los Angeles. She was an English teacher for ten years, and a Retreat Leader for eight years before joining Stillpoint full-time. She enjoys speaking on issues related to effective parenting, and is the mother of four.

Alma Cornejo, M.A.

(Serving San Marino, Pacoima, West Hills)
Alma is bilingual, and brings with her years of experience as a mentor and teacher for children from 1st - 12th grade. She is a graduate of Hope International University (B. S. Human Development). Alma's clinical interests include working with children, teens, adults and families. She will receive a master's degree in psychology in 2010. Alma and her husband have been married for 25 years and they have five children.

Daniel Grimm, M.A.

(Serving San Marino, West Hills, Ojai)
Dan integrates Catholic spirituality in the tradition of St. Thomas Aquinas with the best caring practices and insights of modern psychology. He assists clients dealing with trauma and abuse, addiction, and marital conflict, and speaks at parishes and conferences on men’s issues, parenting and marriage. A graduate of Thomas Aquinas College and McGeorge School of Law, he received an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. Married since 1976, he and his wife have seven children and nine grandchildren. He has been a registered intern with Stillpoint since 2006.

Carine Keenan, M.S.

(Serving West Hills and Thousand Oaks)
Carine earned her undergraduate degree from UCLA and M.S. in Counseling Psychology from California Lutheran University. She has experience working with adolescents, adults, couples and families through a broad range of clinical issues. Carine takes special interest in exploring and healing relationships. Other areas of interest include adolescent and midlife issues, family violence and adjustment, anxiety and mood disorders. She has also given presentations on various issues facing adolescents and their parents and stress management. She is married with four children.

Paul Kim, M.A.

(Serving Orange County)

Paul received his BA degree in Philosophy from Franciscan University of Steubenville, and MA degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Hope International University. He is a nationally recognized motivational speaker for youth, and he specializes in work with adolescents, teens, and young adults. His clinical interests include anxiety / mood disorders, depression, relationship problems, premarital counseling (Prepare & Enrich certified), and the integration of faith with psychological healing. Paul has a broad range of experience helping individuals, couples, and families improve their lives.

Kami Leonard, M.A.

(Serving West Hills)
Kami received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Phillips Graduate Institute. She specializes in treating mild to severe anxiety disorders including Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Panic Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Agoraphobia, Social Phobia and others, often with simultaneous depression. Kami enjoys working with young adults and those transitioning to new phases of life. Her background also includes parental education, geriatric support groups and women experiencing unplanned pregnancy. Kami takes special interest in working with families, couples and providing pre-marital counseling.

David Shaffer, M.F.T., M.Div.

(Serving Thousand Oaks, West Hills)
David earned his undergraduate degree from California State University, Northridge, his M.F.C.C. from Mount Saint Mary's, and his M.Div. from St. John's Seminary. He has an extensive background teaching and counseling at the high school level, as well as public speaking on issues related to family, sexuality, and the integration of psychology and theology. His psychotherapy practice includes working with teens, adults, and couples.

Joe Sikorra, M.S.

(Serving Thousand Oaks, West Hills)
In addition to being part of the Stillpoint staff, Joe is on the faculty of the California Health and Longevity Institute, where he provides programs on stress management, team building, and communication skills to Fortune 500 companies. He provides lectures and workshops for community organizations and business groups. His background in law enforcement, music, theatre, and acting, reflect a diverse set of talents that allow him to work effectively with clients. Joe is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has extensive experience in helping individuals, couples, and families to enhance their success.  His undergraduate degree is from U.C.L.A. and his graduate degree is from Antioch.

Sandra Suong, M.S.

(Serving Los Angeles)
Sandra received her B.A. in Psychology from California State University Northridge and her M.S. in Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary. Her background includes working with children and families in crisis situations as well as individuals and couples struggling with relational issues. She has led seminars and trainings on parenting and family life issues, in addition to doing pre-marital work. She strives to equip others with the skills necessary to heal from their wounds and to move towards a healthy joy-filled life. She is married with three children.

Gretchen Weisenburger, M.A.

With a BA from UC Santa Barbara and a MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Universidad de las Americas in Mexico City, Gretchen has spent her professional career working in and around the non-profit sector. From 1992-2002 Gretchen lived in Mexico City, Mexico, working, training in marriage and family therapy, getting married and becoming a mother. Her clinical interests include couples therapy and perinatal depression.
