The challenges

Family life in America has never been in greater danger psychologically, socially and spiritually. Marriages are splintering and the divorce rate is at an all-time high. Parents are spending less time with their children and increasing numbers of young adults feel alienated and fearful about the future.

Many families, couples and individuals are finding themselves in a state of crisis, feeling helpless and without hope. There is a great need of good counsel—counsel that encourages, strengthens and heals.

What we believe

Consistent with our roots in the Judeo-Christian tradition, Stillpoint Family Resources provides healing and hope to individuals and families in crisis through counseling and education.

Stillpoint Family Resources is genuinely committed to the Judeo-Christian tradition at a time when over 80% of the psychological world doesn’t even believe in God. We are developing our status as a continuing education provider by presenting other professionals with an alternative to a purely secular perspective on healing.
Stillpoint Family Resources is about preservation of the family with a preference for the underserved. We don’t believe that money should be the deciding factor as to whether or not a family ultimately survives.

What we do

Stillpoint Family Resources provides healing and hope to individuals and families in crisis through counseling and education.
We continue to establish strategically located satellite offices that facilitate easy access to much-needed services. Our counselors proactively respond to issues that threaten the emotional and spiritual life of individuals, couples and families.

How we do it

Four elements comprise the basis of Stillpoint’s unique approach to providing healing and inspiring hope.

Counseling

Stillpoint takes a unique interdisciplinary counseling approach, featuring the integration of psychology with theology, philosophy and education. With virtually no turnover in Stillpoint’s staff members, clients are assured the stability of working with the same counselor.

Stillpoint has a strong commitment to the under-served as exemplified by the over 70% of our clients whose fees are on a sliding fee scale.

Training

A Formation for Excellence training program is in place, complete with Stillpoint’s own carefully sculpted curriculum. This ongoing training of counselors ensures a consistently outstanding response to clinical issues.

Teaching

Stillpoint’s Speaker’s Bureau provides workshops and seminars throughout Southern California for individuals, couples and professionals to serve those in need of healing, wholeness, or relevant guidance who may not be able to come to us. Our audience includes parents, teachers, like-minded community partners, and religious organizations.

Publishing

We publish articles and books that form and inform family life, marriage, rearing children, and psychological and spiritual growth.
